In a post on his X account on Saturday, Araghchi said that Iran's position on Pakistan mediatory efforts was being misrepresented by the US media.
“Iran's position is being misrepresented by US media,” Araghchi stressed.
“We are deeply grateful to Pakistan for its efforts and have never refused to go to Islamabad. What we care about are the terms of a conclusive and lasting END to the illegal war that is imposed on us,” the top diplomat further reiterated.
Over the past few days, several Western media outlets have claimed that Iran had rejected Pakistani mediation and any form of negotiations in Islamabad. These claims have also been officially refuted by Pakistani authorities.
